Yes, And! Two of the most important words to use in any improv scene. Improv skills do more than getting a quick laugh. Improv helps actors achieve better confidence on stage, improve speaking skills, allow people to use their imaginations in new ways, and keeps the mind sharp.
Dana Grossman recently graduated with a BFA degree in Musical Theatre and is a professional improviser. With more than 8 years of improv under her belt, she was a member of a professional touring murder mystery improv company for 2 years in the North East, as well as captained her college and high school improv troupes.
This month-long workshop focuses on and introduces the essential skills for learning improvisation. Whether you’ve taken a class or two or have never touched improv, this class will be very fun but productive. Students will learn basic improv short forms (or games) to improve their creativity and strengthen their impulses that can apply to their acting journeys.

Each class will consist of appropriate warm-ups to sharpen the mind and body, followed by the breakdown/explanation of various games, then executing and performing them as pairs and groups.

This workshop and room are a safe space. You are working on creating stories and characters out of thin air, so mistakes are bound to happen! We welcome and encourage them.
