Welcome to Durant Road Musical Theatre!

A man of many faces, Chris Bartlett is known for the Jon Favreau-created Star Wars television programs.  He has appeared as featured characters in all seasons of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi.  Chris has also played the iconic droid C-3PO for many years on television alongside R2D2 whenever the two have made special appearances on series such as Lego Masters (2020), Speechless (2017), the Oscars (2016), David Letterman (2015), Jimmy Kimmel (2017) and A.N.T. Farm (2012).

His professional acting career began in 2006 when he was cast as C-3PO, originally played by Anthony Daniels, in the Star Wars universe for live action television appearances.  His favorite is Q9-0 "Zero" seen in The Mandalorian.  Other characters include 1-JAC in Obi-Wan Kenobi among many others.

On Halloween, 2009, C-3PO was summoned to the White House to meet President and Michelle Obama.  Chris was in the costume and  in character when he met with the first family.

As an adult, he built a career in video games as an artist in such games as Gears of War, Call of Duty, Tomb Raider and Star Wars projects.

Born in San Luis Obispo, CA, Bartlett has performed onstage as an actor, a puppeteer and a musician.

He has four children and often finds his peace on a loud motorcycle ride in the canyons or restoring vintage cars.

Chris is excited to share his experiences with the students of Durant Road Musical Theatre.  These past few years we have had the opportunity of visiting with Chris each time we attend MTCA in Anaheim, CA.  We tell him how good our "kids" are doing and what they have accomplished at the competition.  He is eager to meet all of our students in person.

We are offering four different sessions throughout the day.  Each class will last one hour and be limited to 40 attendees.  This will allow for some personal interaction with Chris.
